DRIVE TRANSMITTING DEVICE FOR COPYING MACHINE OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To prevent a drive transmitting device from break-down by facilitating the attachment of driven members such as image carrier, developing brush, etc. and releasing the transmission of a turning force between the drive and driven members when overload is applied in the transmission of the turning force. CONSTITUTION:On an end of a drive gear 1 connected to a motor is mounted a drive member 2, and a photosensitive drum 3 carrying images is provided on the end integrally with a driven member 5 through a driven gear 4. The driven member 5 is provided with a projection 12 engaging an engaging portion 8 of the drive member 2 to transmit a turning force. A leaf spring is bent and formed such that when the turning force exceeds a preset transmitting torque the projection 12 is disengaged from the engaging portion 8 to release the turning force from transmission.
