The invention relates to a cabinet fitted below a washbasin and having a receiving part for inserting a washing machine. In this fitted cabinet, the upper horizontal panel 7 is of water-resistant and acid-resistant construction and has a trough-shaped recess for receiving a washbasin 8, 23. Water connection and water drainage fittings are arranged in the fitted cabinet below the panel 7. In the front surface 11 there are a sliding or pivoting compartment 12 and a receiving chamber 14 in which a washing machine 13 can be inserted. Without the washing machine 13, the receiving chamber 14 can be fitted with shelves, drawers or the like. <IMAGE>
