PURPOSE:To shorten a manufacturing time, and also to prevent the drop of an optical coupling efficiency by providing a groove on a supporting base body, inserting a tapered supporting body having a prescribed fitting part into this groove, and fixing the respective component parts by an adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:A groove 21 with a width (w) and a depth (d) is provided on a supporting base body 12 provided with a semiconductor laser 11, and a tapered supporting body 22 having a fitting part 22a of width w' of a little smaller size than this groove 21 is inserted into the groove 21. Subsequently, on said groove, an optical circuit substrate 15 is provided at a position where it is coupled optically with the semiconductor laser 11, and the supporting base body 12, the tapered supporting body 22 and the optical circuit substrate 15 are stuck and fixed by an adhesive layer 23. Therefore, the tapered supporting body does not move two-dimensionally on the supporting base body 12, therefore, positioning is executed easily and a manufacturing time can be shortened. Also, since the movement is prevented, the drop of the optical coupling efficiency can also be prevented. |
