PURPOSE:To manufacture a thermal head of high precision at low cost in good yield, by a method wherein after forming plural pieces of feeding element patterns, heating resistant elements are formed on the surface of the base by dense printing so as to contact each of feeding elements. CONSTITUTION:A component is dipped into an electroless plating bath and its photoresist 3 is used as a king of mask. The electroless plating coating 4 is formed only onto the part where the palladium coating 2 on the film 1 is exposed. After removing the photoresist 3, an electroplating coating 5 is, in a expanding manner, formed on the electroless plating coating 4 and a feeding element 6 is composed of the coatings 4 and 5. Then, a heating resistant element 7 of band state is formed by printing of thick film paste in accordance with additive method. Further, after adhering a cooling substrate 8 to the surface on the back side of polyimido film 1, the thermal head is completed by processing it with a required treatment, if necessary. |
