Floor-supported duct-type structural elements with masking boards form a seat-level installation duct which is conveniently accessible from above and which accommodates at least some of the installation lines and the correspondingly adapted seat-level fitments (WC, bidet, foot basin, etc.). The fitting of the seat-level duct-type structural elements and installations can be undertaken on the floating floor or finished floor even before the walls are erected. The duct-type structural elements then serve as a template and, possibly, a support for the walls, especially with cabinet-type construction. The duct-type structural elements are generally also used for supporting and mounting the fitments. The seat-level fittings have recesses in the region of the duct for piping to pass through. The chest-level fitments are installed and secured by means of interposed connecting templates. The connecting templates of the chest-level fitments have a uniform seating for the support of the fitments, which support is likewise of integral design. The connecting templates for wash-basins can be preinstalled, and the wash-basins for these can be of appropriate design. Thus the basins can be positioned ready to connect, possibly without the use of skilled fitters, and can similarly be removed again without installation work. <IMAGE>
