PURPOSE:To obtain a high precision in position determination as a whole, by using an information showing the likelihood of a measured bearing in addition to a measured bearing value so as to correct the bearing in accordance with the likelihood, and by correcting a value of low likelihood in a relatively large degree. CONSTITUTION:The measurement by direction finders 2A, 2B and 2C is unable to give a definite measured value in general, and the width of fluctuation thereof increases with a decrease in the likelihood of measured bearings. Bearings measured at measuring points 1A, 1B and 1C and the likelihoods sigmaA, sigmaB and sigmaC of the measured bearings are transmitted to a central station 12 through transmission lines 3A, 3B and 3C. As for the likelihoods, one of a plurality of grades is represented by an angle as a standard deviation of a normal distribution in which the measured bearings are used as mean values. Taking in the measured bearing and the likelihood thereof from each of measuring points 1A, 1B and 1C, CPU14 computes a correction coefficient R for the intersection at one point of the three measured bearings with one another and corrects the measurement bearings of the measuring points. Then, it computes two intersections of corrected bearings formed when the difference between the corrected bearings and the measured bearings becomes smaller than a prescribed value, and determines the position of a measured point therefrom.
