PURPOSE:To make it possible to densify and emphasize printing to a necessary degree by overlap typing, in printing printed data inputted after printed accompanying no new line in a state stacked to the previous printing, by shifting by 1/n dot before performing printing two times. CONSTITUTION:When data is inputted to a control circuit 2, the control circuit 2 judges whether said data is a printing start code and, if it is the printing start code, judges whether the provious printing data accompanied a new line. When no new line is accompanied, the control circuit 2 controls a motor driver 5 to perform operation for shifting a printing position by a minute distance. The control circuit outputs a signal to the motor driver 5 and rotates a carrier motor 6 so as to shift the printing position by 1/n dot and outputs printing data to a head driver 3 to perform printing corresponding to one line. The distance shifting a dot is set to 1/n the width of the dot and, by selecting a proper value of (n), a desired emphasis degree can be obtained. |
