MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium which has a high SN ratio and can attain higher density by forming a specific magnetic layer on a nonmagnetic metallic substrate. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic powder such as CrO2 having large residual magnetic flux density is mixed with magnetic iron oxide powder such as gamma-Fe2O3 and the mixture composed thereof is mixed with a synthetic resin. Such mixture is coated on a nonmagnetic metallic substrate consisting of Al, etc. The SN ratio is thus improved and high-density recording is made possible.
