PURPOSE:To enable a rolled form recording paper to be replaced without opening or closing an upper cover or a door, by a construction wherein a door is provided at a side face of a cover, and a recording head is pressed against a recording roller through a recording paper or separated from the roller by a manual lever. CONSTITUTION:When replacing a rolled from thermal recording paper by a new one, the door 14 provided at the side face is opened, a knob part of a recording paper guide 17 is turned 90 deg., and the guide 17 is detached. Then, the manual lever 21 is pulled to the operator's side to disengage it from a pin 23, and is moved in the direction of an arrow A. As a result, an end part of an arm 28 is engaged to an end part of a support member 30 for a thermal recording head 19, and a pressing member 29 is separated from the head 19, so that the head 19 is lifted up. When operation of the lever 21 is continued to engage the lever 21 to a pin 24, the head 17 can be stopped in the lifted-up condition, and the new rolled form thermal recording paper 16 can be easily inserted. |
