发明名称 OXYGEN CONCENTRATION MEASURING APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a quick measurement of an absolute value by arranging an electrochemical oxygen pump using a solid electrolyte in a gas circulation path. CONSTITUTION:A sample dissolving tube 9 is heated above the melting point of a metal 13 to be measured with a heating furnace 11 and a solid electrolyte is also heated in an oxygen pump 3 beforehand. Then, a valve 4 is opened to reduce the pressure in a gas passage 1 and then, closed after the introduction of a carrier gas thereinto. Then, a pump 2 is operated to circulate the gas in the passage 1 and a biasing is made so as to zero the electromotive force of the oxygen pump. Subsequently, the metal 13 is drained into the dissolving tube 9 to melt. Consequently, oxygen in the sample 13 reacts with hydrogen in the gas and is decomposed on the inner surface of the solid electrolyte of the oxygen pump 3. At this point, the output of the pump 3 is detected to determine the concentration of oxygen in the metal 13 from the relationship with the mass of the metal 13 thus drained. Thus, the absolute value of the oxygen concentration can be determined quickly.
