PURPOSE:To suppress the reduction of a floating quantity due to an angle of yaw to attain a stable floating characteristic by narrowing widths of recessed groove parts, which are provided to a pair of positive pressure generating surfaces, toward air flow-out ends from air flow-in ends to extend effectively widths of positive pressure generating surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The widths of recessed groove parts 3a provided on a pair of positive pressure generating surfaces 1a of a negative pressure slider are varied in the lengthwise direction of the slider and are narrowed toward air flow-out ends from air flow-in ends and are tapered in the direction of air flow. Consequently, recessed groove parts 3a on positive pressure generating surfaces 1a are narrowed toward air flow-out ends, and the widths of positive pressure generating surfaces are extended toward ends effectively. |
