MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium which has good runnability and lessens the decrease in output in a high-frequency region by laminating an underlying layer and thin magnetic metallic layer on a substrate consisting of a heat resistant high polymer and having rough surface. CONSTITUTION:An underlying layer 2 consisting of a polyether imide resin, etc. is coated and formed on a substrate 1 consisting of a heat resistant high polymer such as atom. polyamide, etc. and having both rough surfaces and a thin magnetic metallic film layer 3 is deposited thereon. Such magnetic recording medium has excellent runnability with the rough surface on the side opposite from the layer 3 and has large output in a high-frequency range with the smooth surface of the layer 3.
