PURPOSE:To attain a matching process at a high speed by using the hardware to attain a matching process of an information processor which executes a predicate logical language. CONSTITUTION:A lead-out mechanism 20 writes a matching target and the head part of a sentence to an input target buffer 1 and an input head part buffer 2 respectively and starts a matching mechanism 7. The mechanism 7 initializes the item positions of registers 5, 6, 8 and 9 as well as item register mechanisms 10-13 and starts decoders 3 and 4. Then the mechanism 7 searches buffers 1 and 2 to obtain the heads of items and writes them to registers 5 and 8. Furthermore the head of the next item is obtained and recorded to registers 6 and 9 respectively. When the item head is obtained in such a way, the mechanism 7 secures matching between the item in the head part of a rule written in a logical equation and the item in a target written in a question logical equation.
