Antenna element for circularly polarized highfrequency signals comprising, in succession, a first insulating layer in which a miniature horn is provided which has a square cross-section and whose inside surface is metal-plated, a first supply network for signals whose direction of polarization is of a first type linear polarization, a second insulating layer in which a miniature waveguide is provided which has the same square cross-section at the side facing the first network and a rectangular cross-section at the other side, and whose inside surface is also metal-plated, a second supply network, for signals whose direction of polarization is perpendicular to the polarization of the signals of the first network, and a third insulating layer in which a miniature waveguide is provided which has the same rectangular cross-section at the side facing the second network and which is short-circuited so that its length is less than the width of this third layer. This antenna is intended to be used in systems for receiving television signals transmitted by satellite. |
