PURPOSE:To provide a high degree of image reproducibility and excellent printability by providing a cured layer consisting of the compsn. contg. a specific partially saponified polyvinyl acetate, specific vinyl monomer and specific thermosetting resin between a base material and photosensitive resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. consisting of (A) 100pts.wt. completely or partially saponified polyvinyl acetate having 40-100mol% degree of saponification, (B) 10-300pts.wt. vinyl monomer having an ethylenic unsatd. group in the molecule and (C) 0.1-80pts.wt. thermosetting resin selected from a phenolic resin, melamine resin, epoxy resin and urea resin is coated on a base material having good dimensional stability and is cured to provide an intermediate layer. A photosensitive resin layer contg. partially saponified polyvinyl acetate having 60- 99mol% degree of saponification and photopolymerizable monomer having an ethylenic unsatd. bond is coated on the intermediate layer, by which the photosensitive resin plate material developable with water is obtd. |
