PURPOSE:To suppress the formation of large upstanding flame, which might otherwise be formed in sharply changing the combustion state of fuel from less intense to intense modes and realize a stable combustion even when allowed to stand as it is after ignited, by providing a solid range at an area adjacent to a wick of at least one of inner and outer flame cylinders, excepting for the air ports group of lowermost step, and a large hole range immediately above the solid range. CONSTITUTION:A solid range 16 is provided upwardly adjacent to a wick, excepting for the air holes groups 8a of lowermost step, and a large hole range 17 larger in diameter than other sections is provided immediately above the solid range 16. The presence of solid range 16 eliminates the formation of upstanding flame (f) at an area adjacent to the top end of wick 14, and thereby maintaining low an ambient temperature around this area. A black-colored heat resistant metal oxide paint is coated from the lower end to the upper end of solid range 16 to prevent a heat radiation and red heat, while simultaneously increasing a thermal capacity for thereby maintaining low a temperature around the wick 14. Thus, no large unstanding flame is formed above a combustion cylinder or extended outwardly beyond an outer case. Moreover, a stable flame (f) can be formed at an enlarged range 17 even when allowed to stand as it is after ignited.
