PURPOSE:To bring a measured value close to a target value in a short time by arranging to continue max. or min. control (or ON, OFF control) until the measured value returns to the target value for the first time and to being PID control again ultimately after the return of the measured value to the target value. CONSTITUTION:When COD of water to be treated reaches the max. feed control region (or min. feed control region) exceeding a PID control regin, max. feed control (or min. feed control) is performed. Even if the COD of the water returns in this condition to the inside of the PID control region, PID control is not performed again, but the max. feed control (or min. feed control) is continued. At last when the measured value returns to the target value, the PID control is resumed. The initial control amt. at the resumption should be the control amt. of the PID control immediately before the max. feed control (or min. feed control) had been commenced.
