A briquette which is preferably to be used as additive fuel in shaft kilns for melting mineral when producing mineral wool contains 30-75% of a fuel in the form of coal and/or coke, 8-35% of a hydraulic binder such as cement, and 15-35% of a filler in the form of a fine- grained, oxide-containing, mineral constituent such as sand, clinker, stonemeal, flyash, limestone meal, dolomite meal, silicon dioxide or fibre-containing waste from the mineral wool production. |
