REINFORCING BELT FOR TIRES WITH RADIAL CASING A radial tire has a reinforcing belt structure with two juxtaposed belts comprised of cords oriented at an angle of between 15 and 35.degree. with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire. The belt package further comprises bands of textile cords interposed between the belts near the edges of the radially innermost belt. An overlay extends over at least the width of the radially outermost belt ply. The width of the axially spaced bands is between 10% and 30% of the width of the overlay, and the cords of the two bands and the overlay are disposed such that they form an angle of between 0.degree. and 10.degree. with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire.
