PURPOSE:To rectify color discrepancy caused by a positional shift by a method wherein in the laying region of phosphor dots or phosphor fine stripes of red luminous color as well as in the laying region of phosphor dots or phosphor fine stripes of green luminous color, a shadow mask is partly heated or cooled to be transformed at the time of respective exposure treatment. CONSTITUTION:Firstly phosphor dots of red luminance of three kinds of phosphor dots are formed through an exposure method. At said exposure treatment a cool wind is jetted from a nozzle 4b while a warm wind is jetted from the nozzle 5a. Consequently the right side of a shadow mask is cooled to cause thermal contraction while the left side thereof is warmed to cause thermal expansion. Accordingly the shadow mask is transformed through thermal strain as shown by a broken line 6 in Fig, whereby the phosphor dots of red luminance R are formed on both sides slightly rightward deflected from original positions Rd, while at the exposure treatment of the phosphor dots of green luminance the cold wind is jetted from the nozzle 4a and the warm wind is jetted from the nozzle 5b conversely as said before. |
