PURPOSE:To inspect a sealing defective part automatically with high accuracy by arranging an ultrasonic wave transmitter and a receiver opposite so that the focus is set at the welded seal of a packing container, and providing a means which supplies water between the transmitter and receiver, and seal part. CONSTITUTION:Ultrasonic wave vibrators 32 and 33 are arranged opposite after charging so that the focus is set at the seal part 5, and jets 34 and 35 for ultrasonic wave propagation are spoutted out of nozzles 32 and 33 surrounding those vibrators 32 and 33. While the seal part 5 is moved as shown by an arrow, the vibrator 32 for transmission is excited and its ultrasonic wave is received by the vibrator 33 for reception. Its output is processed by a signal processing circuit 38 to decides whether the seal part 5 is normal or not with high accuracy. |
