PURPOSE:To reduce lost motion lying between a gearshift lever and a shift operating shaft as well as to make the shift operating shaft shiftable with a small rock of the gearshift lever, by engaging a shifting operation engaging part with an engaging part installed in a midway part of the gearshift lever. CONSTITUTION:A shift operating shaft 24 is set up horizontally in a direction toward being orthogonal with a shift rod 19, and installed in position projected outward to one side of a car body. This projection part is covered by a support cylinder 25 being tightly attached to a bracket 22, while the shift operating shaft is supported rotatably around the shaft center as well as free of axial movements on a support body 26 installed in a tip of the support cylinder 25 via a bush 27. An arm is tightly attached to an end part of the shift operating shaft 24, and a tip end of the arm 28 is detachably engaged with a notched concave part 20 of an engager bouy 21 of the shift rod 19. A gear-shift lever 17 is set up orthogonally with the shift operating shaft 24, while a cylindrical engaged part 42 is formed in a midway part of the gearshift lever 17, and this engaged part 42 engages an engaging part 41 of the shift operating shaft 24. |
