PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn free from occurrence of fluff and powdery material in high productivity, by using an expandable thermoplastic resin as a raw material for a core part constitution and an unexpandable thermoplastic resin as a raw material for a sheath part constitution, using a spinneret of sheath-core type, conjugating them, melting, extruding, cooling, and drawing them. CONSTITUTION:An expandable thermoplastic resin comprising polypropylene resin, etc. and 0.2-1.0wt% blowing agent such as azodicarbonamide, etc. is used as a raw material for a core part constitution, an unexpandable thermoplastic resin such as polypropylene resin or a mixture of it and polyethylene resin, etc. as a raw material for a sheath part constitution. By the use of a spinneret of sheath-core type, they are conjugated, melted, extruded, cooled, and drawn to give the desired monofilament consisting of the core part 2 made of the expanded material, and the sheath part 1 made of a skin layer of the unexpanded material. Monofilament wherein plural single yarn are laid in parallel and connected in a continuous form can be prepared.
