PURPOSE:To perform the laser oscillation of light Soliton pulse in 1.5mum of wavelength by using an exciting light for generating an ultrashort light pulse in 1.0-1.4mum band, generating a light of 1.5mum band by induction Raman scattering effect in an optical fiber, and balancing the nonlinear refractive index with the diffusing effect of 1.5mum band in the fiber. CONSTITUTION:A laser light source 1 for generating the exciting light of the mode of ultrashort light pulse in 1-1.4mum of wavelength band, a silica sole mode optical fiber 4, the first reflecting mirror 2 disposed at one end of the fiber 4 to pass the exciting light for reflecting the light of 1.5-1.6mum band of wavelength, and the second reflecting mirror 5 for reflecting the exciting light and the light of 1.5-1.6mum band of wavelength are provided. The exciting light is introduced through the mirror 2 to the optical fiber 4, and an induced Raman scattering light of 1.5mum band of wavelength is generated in the fiber 4. The nonlinear refractive index obtained by the light power effect generated in the fiber 4 by the Raman scattering light reflected on the mirror 5 is balanced with the disperson in the fiber 4 in 1.5mum band, thereby generating the light Soliton of 1.5mum band to obtain ultrashort light pulse. |
