PURPOSE:To reduce a degree of impact force in the time of forward-backward selection, by installing an operation checking member, which renders an operation member of a forward-backward selector unoperatable, while interlocking this operation checking member with operation of another operation member for a running related mechanism and thereby operating it so as to release a state of unoperatability. CONSTITUTION:When an operation member 11 of a forward-backward selector A is set to a forward or backward position, its selecting operation is checked by an operation checking member R. Release for this selecting operation check is carried out with the operation checking member R shifted to a nonoperational position by means of excitation of a solenoid of an interlocking mechanism K. And, the excitation of the solenoid of the interlocking mechanism K takes place when a normally opened contact 20 is closed by stepping on a main clutch pedal 16. Therefore, the operation of forward- backward selection becomes incapacitated by direct operation of the operation member 11 alone so that a driver is inevitably perceived that he should operate at low speed prior to the forward-backward operation. Thus, with low speed operation, a degree of impact force in time of forward-backward selection is reducible. |
