PURPOSE:To improve operability by providing a copying machine frame side with an opening and closing member for the opening and closing cover of the image formation optical system incidence window of the copying unit, and opening the cover during the loading of the copying unit and closing it during the unloading securely. CONSTITUTION:The unit 1 in which a photosensitive drum 2, developing device, cleaner device, etc., are packaged is moved as shown by an arrow X and slid into the copying machine frame. The front end part 10' of the opening and closing cover 10 is a guide part formed as a gentle rise part, and when it passes through a cam taper part 15 fixed to the main frame side, the opening and closing cover 10 is rotated by >=90 deg.. When the copying unit 1 is detached, the cam taper part 15 passes through a cover front end part 10' and is freed, and the opening and closing cover 10 closes the image formation optical system incidence window 20 with a torque spring 18 and a hinge 19. |
