The subject of the present invention is a method for assembling two transverse profiled elements to each other, at least one of which is made of metal and is tubular or partially tubular, and the assembly node produced. The method according to the invention is noteworthy especially in that the first element 1 is pierced, that it is introduced in the piercing 3 made in the second element 2 and in that the latter is deformed in expansion, at high speed, by magneto-forming, in the piercing 3 and in that two bulges 4 on either side of the piercing 3 are formed on the second element 2.
