SCREENING DEVICE WITH SOLID-PERMEABLE PARTITION LAYER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the titled screening device to allow passage of slag only which is formed as byproduct of gasification of coal, prepd. by utilizing a magnetic field to form a magnetic powder layer across an oven interior. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic powder feeder 5 and a magnetic field generator 4 are provided at a lower part of a gasification oven 1 and magnetic powder (e.g. cobalt powder coated with alumina) fed from the feeder 5 through a passageway 6, is caught by magnetic field of the magnetic field generator 4 to form a layer of magnetic powder 7 across the oven 1. A stream of a mixt. of coal and oxygen is injected from a burner 2 into the oven 1 for gasification of coal by partial combustion of coal. Dripping slag 3 formed as byproduct and having no magnetic properties passes through the magnetic powder layer 7 and falls into a slag cooler 8. The magnetic powder layer is restored to an original state immediately after passage of the slag 3 to stop gas.
