PURPOSE:To simplify a process and to improve durability by chamfering the ridgeline of the end parts of an adhered surface side at least out of two substrates having the adhering structure of recording layers and embedding the sealant in the round-cornered part. CONSTITUTION:The surface of recording layers 3, 4 of doughnut-like substrates 1, 2 consisting of glass are chamfered at the end parts of both outer and inner peripheral parts. The two recording media are adhered with an organic bonding agent 5 so that the recording layers 3, 4 are opposed and then the chamfered parts of the end parts of the disc are sealed with soldering 6, 7 by using an ultrasonic soldering device, so that an optical recording medium having a structure adhering the recording layers so as to be completely shielded from the outside air. Since the sealant much more than the necessary quantity is applied and then the excessive part can be simply removed by a spatula or the like, post- processing to be executed after sealing the end surfaces is made unnecessary and an economical and highly durable optical recording medium can be provided. |
