Thermometric sensor for measuring surface temperature

The sensor comprises a temperature probe 5 and two flexible leads 6 connected electrically to the probe which are arranged in a flat flexible sheath 1, having the form of a tape which can be wound round an object whose surface temperature it is required to measure. The probe is near one end of the sheath. At least one of the two outer faces of the sheath 1 is coated with an adhesive 9, 11 which adheres to the other face of the sheath after it has been wound around the object in question.
