PURPOSE:To enable a recording roller to make contact with a thermal recording head through a recording paper over the entire width thereof even when it is inclined due to flexure of a lower cover, by a construction wherein a recording head and a support plate therefor are supported by only a recording roller and a fulcrum provided on an internal bisector of the head. CONSTITUTION:The fulcrum 21 for supporting the support plate 9 on the internal bisector of the thermal recording head 8 is provided on an iron plate 20 fitted astride two upper side plates 3. When an upper cover 1 is closed, the head 8 and the support plate 9 therefor are supported by the recording roller 7 and the fulcrum 21 through the recording paper 6. Even where the support plate 9 is a rigid body, the head 8 can be freely inclined. Accordingly, even when the roller 7 is inclined due to flexure of the lower cover 2 formed of a resin, the roller 7 and the head 8 can make contact with each other through the paper 6 over the entire width thereof, since the head 8 can also be freely inclined. |
