PURPOSE:To manufacture a wear resistant extruded Al alloy material having superior extrudability, forgeability and mechanical properties by homogenizing an Al alloy ingot having a specified composition and by indirectly extruding the ingot. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy ingot contg. 7.5-13.5% Si, 2.5-5.0% Cu, 0.3-1.0% Mg, 0.25-1.0% Fe and 0.25-1.0% Mn or further contg. 0.001-0.05% Ti or further contg. 1-2% Ni is homogenized by heating at 400-510 deg.C for 2hr, and the ingot is indirectly extruded to manufacture an extruded Al alloy material having superior wear resistance, extrudability, forgeability and mechanical properties.
