The seat 1 comprises a back-rest 3 composed of a central, load-bearing upright 4, of a lower back-rest 5 and of a shoulder rest 6; the lower back-rest 5 is provided with a central portion 5' which can slide axially on the upright 4 and on the opposing lateral edges of which there are articulated two lateral portions 42 whose angular position with respect to the central portion 5' can be adjusted in order to adjust the dimensions of the said lower back-rest 5 corresponding to the size of the passenger.
