PURPOSE:To develop fiber-reinforced composite material having two kinds of matrixes by packing substance which has high melting temp. and is dissolved with flux to one part of a vessel packed with fiber for reinforcement, pouring metal to the remaining part and coagulating the metal and thereafter dissolving the packed substance to remove it and pouring and coagulating resin. CONSTITUTION:Fiber 5 for reinforcement such as carbon fiber or alumina fiber is packed in a heat resistant vessel 9 provided with openings 7, 8 in both end parts. About half of the vessel 9 is immersed from the opening 7 side in melt 10 of salt such as sodium chloride which has m.p. higher than Al alloy and is dissolved easily in water or the like and the melt is impregnated in the fiber 5 and coagulated. This is set in a molding apparatus 17 consisting of a cope 13 and a drag 14 and melt 15 of Al alloy in a pressurized chamber 12 is pressed therein from the opening 8 with a plunger 16 and coagulated. After the previously packed salt such as sodium chloride is dissolved with water or the like and removed, liquid-state resin 23 is poured through the opening 7 side and coagulated. In this way, the fiber reinforced composite member having two kinds of matrixes of Al alloy and the resin is obtained. |
