PURPOSE:The titled resin composition which has excellent light transmission properties, weatherability, and surface hardness, and enables one-piece molding of a filter part to simplify the manufacturing process, comprising a specified mechacrylate resin and an anthraquinone dye. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. methacrylate resin containing at least 50wt% (poly)methyl methacrylate, and 1.2-4.0pts.wt. anthraquinone dye, Solvent Green 28, are kneaded to obtain the titled resin composition. It is then molded on an injection molding machine with a mold designed for a filter, giving an infrared filter with a thickness of 2.2mm., a maximum transmission wavelength of 860- 1,000nm, a wavelength inclination width (difference between the wavelength at which the transmissions of 5% and 72% are obtained) of 330nm or less, and a maximum transmission of at least 70%.
