PURPOSE:To increase a reproduced output voltage by vibrating a reproducing magnetic head in the same direction as the travelling direction of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When an oscillator 12 to be a vibrating means A impresses voltage to a piezoelectric element 11, the element 11 is slightly and simply vibrated in parallel with the travelling direction of the recording medium 3, and simultaneously a reproducing magnetic head 10 fixed to the element 11 is also vibrated slightly and simply. The magnification of the output voltage of the head 10 is the speed of the medium 3 against the head 10 to the speed of the medium 3. If a thin film megnetic head having a wire wound twenty turns e.g. is used as the head 11, and while vibrating the head simply at 250cm/sec maximum speed, a signal on the medium 3 travelling at 4.75cm/sec speed is sampled and reproduced when the head is moved at its maximum speed, the output voltage becomes 54 times equally to the output voltage of a bulk wiring type magnetic head having 1,000-turn wire. |
