PURPOSE:To improve the reducibility of sintered ore by blending return ore with limestone, adjusting the water content of the blend, granulating the blend, and mixing the granules with other blended starting materials for sintering to form surely parts having a high CaO content. CONSTITUTION:When self-fluxing sintered ore is manufactured, limestone is added to CaO-rich return ore used in large quantities among starting materials for sintering, and they are granulated after adjusting the water content to form granules having a high CaO content. The granules are mixed with other blended starting materials for sintering to obtain a starting material for sintering. Thus, parts having a high CaO content are surely formed in the starting material for sintering.
