System for connecting to the elements to be tested, monitored or controlled, characterised in that it is decentralized and produced in several parts, each constituting a module. The cabling between the modules and the central device is produced by common "bus" wires; the designation of the element to be connected is carried out by the central device, either directly, or by a coding and decoding method, the decoding being done in each module, which considerably reduces the number of wires of the link cables. The elements are connected individually one after the other to the bus wires. Each decoding 5 and bus connection module is installed in the existing mechanical arrangements supporting the elements to be connected 7 in place of one or more of these elements which are taken out of circulation, or in immediate proximity to these elements, which makes is possible to considerably reduce the length of the link cables. Each module is connected to 3 buses coming from the central device 6, the tens bus 1 which may comprise coding and decoding interfaces, the units bus 2, and that for the test wires 3. By adding a fourth "bus" 4, it is possible to indicate to the central device the operating criteria of each connected element. <IMAGE>
