The fastening device of the invention is composed of a metal screw 3 and of a locking piece 4, made from a plastic material, the screw and locking piece assembly being pressure-fitted. The locking piece may have the shape of a cap which allows the extremity of the screw to be isolated. The plastic material is preferably non-loaded polybutylene terephthalate. The device of the invention is used for fastening the bases of connectors and in a general manner for fixing or assembling pieces together. <IMAGE>
