The invention relates to a device for producing sheets, in particular from a thermoplastic, which device is designed as a roll, press or casting mould and has on its outer surface elements in a predetermined spatial relationship to one another. The outer surface of the device should have the specifically required surface texture without difficulties, and the sheets should also not have any elevations projecting above their surface.
