A heating device, in particular for caravans, mobile homes, site caravans and the like, consists of a gas heater (2), which is arranged underneath a built-in cupboard (1), with a waste gas pipe (3) guided perpendicularly through the built-in cupboard (1) to a roof opening (5). Inserted sealingly into the waste gas pipe (3) is an intermediate pipe (6) which, together with an outer pipe (7) which surrounds the same with a radial spacing and is closed at the front faces, forms a heat exchanger (9) which can be filled with water and which has in its lower and upper region in each case a nipple (10, 11) for connection of an inflow line and an outflow line. <IMAGE>
