Control device for a railway signalling system

摘要

A control device for a railway system is disclosed in which a bar code reader (SL) is used to input control instructions at the control desk or a control panel. Instead of input keys, bar code fields (CF) which contain a bar code on an easily replaceable carrier are located inside the track diagram of the control desk or the control panel, the inputting of the said bar code triggering the same function as an actuation of the corresponding input key in a conventional control device. When colour monitors with a limited resolution capacity or large complicated signalling panels are used as the display media, a control panel is used to input the bar code, which panel contains the designations of all the control elements and their bar codes in a simplified track diagram which corresponds to the representation on the display medium, and the said panel is located within the grasp of the controller. <IMAGE>
