The invention relates to a contact seal for a concave mirror reflector, in particular for portable search lights or pocket-lamps. It specifies a contact seal which retains a light source securely in the focal region of a concave mirror reflector and simultaneously contacts the light source to the power supply. Moreover, this contact seal absorbs the kinetic energy of the batteries should a portable search light or pocket-lamp be dropped.
