In a separating device, by means of which small parts, such as screw bolts, welding bolts etc. which have been successively fed by a sorting device can be separated, a fixedly mounted jib and a jib which is adjustably mounted at a distance which corresponds approximately to the shank diameter of the small parts to be separated are provided at the inlet side, to which the small parts to be separated are supplied. Furthermore, a replaceable insert is attached in a recess of the slide of the separating device, this said insert having at the feed slot a notch which corresponds in each case to the shank diameter of the small parts to be separated. Furthermore, a tubular delivery part forms a unit with a replaceable holding angle. As a result of this design of the separating device according to the invention, the separating device can, by releasing a maximum of five mounting screw bolts, by adjusting the width of the feed slot between the two jibs and by exchanging the replaceable insert and the replaceable holding angle, be converted very rapidly to small parts with dimensions which are different from those of the small parts which were to be separated previously.
