摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent irradiating characteristic over a wide band by connecting a higher-order mode generating section to the 1st waveguide feeding an electromagnetic wave, connecting the 2nd waveguide and a flair adjusting the phase of the dominant mode and the higher-order mode to a higher-order mode generating section and providing a screw or a metallic rod so as to be projected from the inner wall of the flair toward the center. CONSTITUTION:A straight line waveguide 6 is provided to an outer circumferential face of a step 7 generating a higher-order mode. The waveguide 6 is a straight waveguide for adjusting the phase between the dominant mode and the higher-order mode. Furthermore, a screw 9 is projected from the inner wall face of the flair 5 near an aperture of the horn toward the center, the screws are arranged with axis symmetry from four directions and each four screws are arranged at an interval of 1/4 wavelength axially. Since the screw row has a function of phase compensation so as to erase the frequency characteristic of the phase of the basic mode and the higher-order mode, the frequency range where the dominant mode and the higher-order mode are in phase on the aperture of the flair 5 is widened.
