The arrangement for a vehicle, especially a motor vehicle, has an internal combustion engine (1) and a supercharger (6), arranged in the intake line (3), for raising the pressure level of the combustion air fed to the combustion chambers of the internal combustion engine, and a converter (14) arranged in the exhaust pipe (12, 13) for the catalytic after-burning of at least an essential part of the pollutants contained in the exhaust gases and, where necessary, a lambda probe (15) arranged in the direction of flow upstream of the converter in the exhaust pipe, as a function of the measured values of which probe a fuel feed device (5) feeding fuel for combustion into the internal combustion engine can be controlled. In order, by relatively simple and less expensive means, to achieve a more rapid response of the converter and the lambda probe in an arrangement of this type, it is proposed that a connecting pipe (16) be provided, by way of which combustion air is fed from a point downstream, in the direction of flow, of the supercharger into the exhaust pipe (12, 13) upstream, in the direction of flow, of the converter (14) and where necessary to the lambda probe (15). It is proposed that a controllable valve (17) advantageously be provided in the connecting pipe, which valve is to be designed as a non-return valve and designed to open the connecting pipe only during the warming-up period of the internal combustion engine (figure). <IMAGE>
