PURPOSE:To improve the oxide breakability, wet spreadability, etc. on joint surfaces and to braze easily aluminum contg. magnesium in a high concn. by incorporating a prescribed ratio of aluminum fluoride, potassium fluoride and aluminum ammonium fluoride. CONSTITUTION:A flux for brazing consists of 100wt% potassium fluoroaluminate or a compsn. mixture composed of the same and aluminum fluoride and 5- 15wt% aluminum ammonium fluoride by the total weight thereof. Said compsn. mixture contains 60-50wt% aluminum fluoride and 40-50wt% potassium fluoride in terms of the single compd. |
