PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-grooved V-pulley made of sheet metal on which a multi-groove of a uniform thickness is formed, by forming a curved part on the peripheral wall part of a cup-shaped stock, and thereafter, thicknening the upper and lower end parts of the peripheral wall, and subsequently, forming plural V-shaped grooves. CONSTITUTION:A curved part 11a is formed on the peripheral wall of a cup- shaped stock 1 by using a plunger punch, etc. It is inserted and held, and fixed in a rotary inner die, the stock 1 is compressed in the axial core direction by using the plunger punch, a lug part 13 is formed, and also the upper and lower end parts of a peripheral wall 11 are thickened. Subsequently, it is placed in the rotary inner die, and plural V-shaped grooves 2 are formed in a multiple shape on a peripheral wall 14 by using a V-groove forming roller. Also, the V-shaped groove 2 is rolled deeply, and a multi-groove 3 of a prescribed shape is formed. According to this method, the peripheral wall can be thickened easily, and a multi-grooved V-pulley made of sheet metal, which has the multi-grooved V- groove 3 having a uniform thickness, and whose mechanical strength is equalized is obtained. |
