PURPOSE:A novel color reagent having improved water solubility in about neutrality, providing an aqueous solution stable for a long time, having high sensitivity of coloring, and coloring stably, comprising a triphenylmethane derivative. CONSTITUTION:The triphenylmethane derivative shown by the formula is generally prepared by the following method. Namely, for example, in case of bis(4-N, N-diethylaminodiphenyl)-4-sodium-sulfopropoxyphenylmethane(BSproPM), protocatechualdehyde is reacted with propanesulfone in an organic solvent such as methyl Cellosolve, etc. in the presence of an alkali such as NaOH, etc. under heating. The reaction solution is then subjected to ordinary after-treatment operation such as cooling, crystallization, addition of solvent, filtration, washing, etc., to give 3,4-disodiumsulfopropoxybenzaldehyde, which is reacted with N,N- diethylaniline in an organic solvent in the presence of a catalyst of zinc chloride under heating, to give the desired substance. All the color reagents of this invention have high sensitivity of coloring of >=80,000, show lambda max at the longer wavelength side, namely, 600-700nm, and are not obstructed by hemoglobin. |
