PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic charge image developer capable of lessening stains on a developing sleeve, etc., retaining good fluidity, and stably forming superior visible images in a large number of cycles of operations by incorporating a binder made of a polyester resin contg. a chloroform-insoluble component having a prescribed compsn., and an ester component, and wax. CONSTITUTION:A polyester resin contg. a chloroform-insoluble component in an amt. of >=5% is used for a binder, and a colorant, an electrostatic charge controller, and other necessary toner components, and further, a wax contg. >=20wt% ester component and having a penetration of <=4, and preferably, a m.p. of 60-110 deg.C, are incorporated in binder particles to form an electrostatic charge image developing toner. The polyester resin is prepared by polycondensing polyol, such as ethylene glycol, with polycarboxylic acid, such as maleic acid or fumaric, acid, and further, as tri- or higher-carboxylic acid, preferably, such as 1,2,4-benzenetricarboxylic acid. Such 3- or higher-functional monomer components are contained in 30-80mol% of the total alcohol components and the total acid components as the structural units of the polymer, respectively. |
